The biannual TAFISA World Congress returns this year with the main theme "Sport for All: Together more than ever".
The congress, which will take place from October 30 to November 5 in Düsseldorf, Germany, is well under way. The Organising Committee, the Programme Committee, and the Project Team worked on a variety of topics over the past few months to bring the TAFISA World Congress to life until the end of the year.
The operative project team welcomed Pia Jahn and Daniela Hoyer, two new colleagues, at the beginning of the year. Additionally, a general email address was established as the primary point of contact for all congress-related inquiries: tafisa-congress2023@dosb.de.
On February 1st, the Organising Committee met in Düsseldorf to talk about the upcoming events and developments. The preparations for the Board of Directors Meeting in Düsseldorf, which will take place on March 23 and 24, are currently one of the main topics. The Board of Directors of TAFISA will travel to Düsseldorf to meet the current Organising Committee and operative team and get a closer look at the location of the next congress.
The planning of the congress's schedule, including all sessions and potential speakers, is another important key point. The Program Committee organises and discusses all aspects of the congress program. During their meeting at the end of March in Düsseldorf, the Board of Directors will confirm the TAFISA World Congress 2023 sub- and session themes, which will then be published.
The project team is currently working on the congress website and registration form, which will be launched within the next few weeks, in order to provide additional information about the upcoming World Congress. The prices for the congress ticket have already been confirmed by the Organising Committee and Board of Directors, as shown in the table below. Within the next month, the prices for the congress hotels will be announced. All TAFISA members and partners will be separately informed once the registration deadline is announced; therefore, keep an eye out.

The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the State Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, the regional sports confederation of North Rhine-Westphalia, and TAFISA are coordinating the 28th TAFISA World Congress.
